ROSWELL– The film premiere of '50 to 1', the story of Mine That Bird the 2009 Kentucky Derby winner from Roswell will be on Friday March 21st at the Galaxy 8 here in Roswell.
The Allen Theaters will donate proceeds from the premiere going towards the Dexter based Reins for Life, which helps persons living with mental, physical and emotional disabilities using horseback as therapy.
There will be a meet and greet before the movie with Mine That Bird co-owners Dr. Leonard Blach, Mark Allen and of course Mine That Bird.

ROSWELL– On Friday, all of the unofficial results from the Roswell Municipal races were canvassed to be made official.
Today at the Roswell Convention and Civic Center, five councilors elect and mayor elect will be sworn into office at 5 p.m. in time to be seated before their first official city council meeting on Thursday.
Here are the official totals for the five ward races and the mayoral race.
Mayoral Race Dennis Kintigh 3,502, Del Jurney 1,590.
Ward 1 Natasha Mackey 316, Dusty Huckabee 224.
Ward 2 Caleb Grant, 1,380, Jerry Heck, 454, James MacCornack 216.
Ward 3 Art Sandoval, 632, Joe Green 571.
Ward 4 Jason Perry 726 (unopposed)
Ward 5 Tabitha Denny 245, Barry Foster 180.
Absentee voting 92.
Early voting 1,608.
